The Assistant Studio Engineer is responsible for supporting the studio team in various aspects of audio production, including equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This role focuses on providing technical assistance during recording sessions and post-production, ensuring the highest quality sound output. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of audio engineering principles and a strong passion for learning and growing within the field.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee the creative and technical direction of studio sessions
• Operate and navigate the NEVE Genesys Black with confidence
• Edit, arrange, mix, and produce high-quality audio across styles
• Guide vocalists, instrumentalists, and collaborators through sessions
• Maintain studio energy, efficiency, and inspiration
• Assist in session planning, pre-production, and workflow optimization
Key Objectives:
• Champion world-class sound production across all studio projects
• Collaborate closely with artists to unlock their full creative potential
• Represent the studio’s brand ethos with professionalism and authenticity
• Encourage experimentation while maintaining technical excellence
• Work fluidly across multiple genres, adapting to different artist needs
Education & Training
Degree or certification in Audio Engineering, Music Production, or a related field is preferred.
1-2 years of experience in audio production, studio environments, or live events.
Knowledge & Experience
Audio Engineering Fundamentals.
Studio Equipment Operation.
Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) Proficiency.
Sound Recording Techniques.
Mixing and Mastering Basics.
Audio Signal Flow Understanding.
Acoustic Principles.
Audio File Formats & Protocols.
Studio Safety and Health Regulations.
Microphone and Audio Equipment Knowledge.
Skills & Abilities
• Deep familiarity with NEVE consoles, especially the Genesys Black
• Strong command of DAWs like Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or Ableton
• Proven ability to work across multiple genres and cultures
• Exceptional ears and attention to sonic detail
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, artist-first mindset
• Previous experience in live or recorded environments (preferred: hybrid of both)
Working Conditions
9 Hours ( +/- 90 minutes)
